Bryce Leatherwood is a country singer and songwriter from Woodstock, Georgia. He is widely known for competing and winning season 22 of the NBC singing reality competition The Voice. In  October 2021, Leatherwood formed a self-titled band. He currently lives in Statesboro, Georgia.

Leatherwood loves his grandfather, Jimmy McCallum very much. He revealed that when he was a child, his grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer. At first, Bryce’s grandfather did not want to go through treatment but Leatherwood revealed that he convinced him to do chemotherapy and surgeries. Leatherwood’s grandfather is now in better health having beaten cancer.

He is the vocalist/acoustic guitar player of the band. The other band members of his band are Logan Stephens ( lead guitarist), Alex Smith (bass), and Eric Collars (drums). Leatherwood and his band have been playing regular gigs in Georgia, including at MadLife Stage & Studios in Woodstock.

Leatherwood sang a rendition of Conway Twitty’s “Goodbye Time” during the blind auditions. His audition performance earned him a three-chair turn from judges Blake, Gwen, and John Legend. The Woodstock, Ga native, Leatherwood chose Team Blake to be his coach as he progresses in the competition.

Leatherwood went up against The Dryes during The Voice season 22 Battle Rounds. They sang a rendition of “Red Dirt Road” by Brooks & Dunn. Ultimately,  Blake Shelton picked Leatherwood as the winner of the Battle.

After an impressive performance in the voice battles, Leatherwood progressed to the Knockouts stage of The Voice.

The Knockouts stage of season 22 of The Voice began airing on October 31, 2022. During this season, three artists from each team sang solos head to head. The respective coach of the three artists going head to head had to choose only one winner.

Leatherwood went up against Jay Allen and Kate Kalvach. He sang Zac Bown Band’s  “Colder Weather”  while Kate covered Justin Bieber’s “Anyone” with Jay Allen covered Matt Stell’s “Pray For You.” Ultimately, Leatherwood won the knockout round and advanced to the Top16 of The Voice season 22.
