Louis is a survivor of the Santa Fe High School Mass shooting that happened in 2018. The mass shooting claimed 10 years. Louis revealed that a then 15-year-old Christian Riley Garcia, saved his life with his act of heroism when he offered to hold the door that Louis was initially holding. It was seconds later after Christian Riley took Trey’s place with than door when he dropped to the floor after getting shot.
Speaking to Fox 26 on the school shooting incident, Louis said: “When I first entered into the art room, I had closed the door and held the door handle and leaned all my body weight against it to keep it shut and Christian Riley Garcia raised his hand and offered to come over to the door I was at and take my place at the door,” Lemley said. “Just a few seconds later I saw him go down that’s a very vivid memory of that day that could have been me.”
