Alex Wright Biography

Alex Wright is a British bosun and reality television personality appearing on Below Deck Season 13. Originally from London, England, he has five years of experience in the yachting industry and joins the Bravo series as the leader of the exterior crew aboard Azul V.

Alex works under Captain Kerry Titheradge during the season, which takes place in Phuket, Thailand. His responsibilities include supervising the deck team, organizing exterior operations and helping ensure that the yacht runs safely during charters.

Beyond his professional work, Alex enjoys kitesurfing, golf and traveling. His friendships and working relationships aboard Azul V also feature in the show’s Season 13 previews.

Who Is Alex Wright?

Alex Wright is a professional yacht crew member from London, England, best known for joining Below Deck Season 13 as bosun.

He entered the Bravo series with five years of experience working in the yachting industry. Unlike a deckhand who primarily follows instructions from senior crew members, a bosun holds a supervisory position within the exterior department.

Alex is responsible for coordinating the deck team, overseeing daily tasks and reporting to Captain Kerry Titheradge.

His appearance on Below Deck introduces him to a wider television audience while giving viewers an insight into the demands of working as a senior crew member aboard a luxury charter yacht.

Alex Wright Age and Birthday

Alex celebrates his birthday on March 4, according to his official Bravo cast biography. His zodiac sign is Pisces.

Where Is Alex Wright From?

Alex is from London, England, where he grew up before pursuing a career in the yachting industry. His profession has given him opportunities to travel and work in different destinations, including aboard luxury yachts operating internationally.

Outside work, Alex enjoys visiting unfamiliar places and learning new skills. His London background also makes him one of several British crew members appearing on Below Deck Season 13, alongside fellow newcomer James Bishop from Bournemouth.

Alex Wright’s Yachting Career

Alex has five years of experience in the yachting industry, according to Bravo. During that time, he developed the professional skills needed to work aboard luxury vessels, where crew members are responsible for maintaining high standards of service, safety and yacht operations.

His experience eventually led him to a supervisory role as bosun aboard Azul V. Working on a charter yacht involves long hours, changing schedules and close coordination between departments. Crew members must prepare the vessel for guests while responding to weather conditions, maintenance requirements and other operational challenges.

What Does Alex Wright Do as Bosun?

Alex serves as the bosun on Below Deck Season 13, making him responsible for managing the exterior crew.

The bosun is a senior deck position that involves overseeing the daily work of deckhands and communicating with the captain about exterior operations.

Alex’s responsibilities include coordinating deck duties, helping prepare for docking and departures, supervising maintenance and ensuring the team is ready for guest activities.

He must also assign tasks, monitor the crew’s performance and address problems that arise during charter operations.

His position requires both practical yachting knowledge and leadership skills because the deck team depends on clear instructions and effective communication.

During Season 13, Alex works closely with lead deckhand Matthew Fitzpatrick-Buck, whose experience and expectations become part of the season’s early workplace tensions.

Below Deck Season 13

Alex joins Below Deck Season 13, which premieres on October 12, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes become available on Peacock the following day. The season takes place in Phuket, Thailand, aboard the motor yacht Azul V.

Captain Kerry Titheradge returns to lead the crew, while Fraser Olender serves as chief steward and Rainbeau de Roos returns as second steward.

Alex joins several new cast members, including Jessenia Stidger, Chef Moe Vilomar, James Bishop, Matthew Fitzpatrick-Buck, Kaylee Brown and Rosa Simms-Preston.

As bosun, Alex oversees the exterior team while working directly under Captain Kerry.

The official season trailer previews demanding charters, difficult weather conditions, workplace disagreements and romantic relationships among crew members.

Alex’s leadership and his relationships with colleagues are among the storylines introduced before the premiere.

Alex Wright and Matthew Fitzpatrick-Buck

Alex’s working relationship with lead deckhand Matthew Fitzpatrick-Buck is one of the professional conflicts previewed for Season 13.

Matthew is a South African yacht crew member with five years of yachting experience. He joins Azul V as lead deckhand, placing him in a senior position within the exterior team under Alex’s supervision.

In a Bravo preview released on October 6, Matthew questions whether Alex is contributing enough during a particularly demanding charter day.

The disagreement centers on the division of responsibilities and expectations within the deck department.

Because Alex is the bosun, his leadership directly affects how the exterior crew works together. Matthew’s concerns therefore create tension between two experienced yacht professionals who must cooperate to complete their duties.

However, the preview does not establish how their disagreement is eventually resolved or whether it leads to lasting problems. Their working relationship will be updated as the episodes air.

Friendship With Jessenia Stidger

Alex shares a close friendship with fellow crew member Jessenia Stidger. In his official Bravo cast questionnaire, Alex identified Jessenia as his best friend aboard Azul V. Jessenia gave a similar answer, naming Alex as the crew member she felt closest to during the season.

Their mutual responses establish that the two developed a strong friendship while working together. However, the Season 13 trailer also suggests that their relationship may involve more than friendship.

Are Alex Wright and Jessenia Stidger Dating?

The official Below Deck Season 13 trailer previews Alex Wright and Jessenia Stidger sharing a kiss.

The footage introduces a possible romantic storyline between the two crew members, whose close friendship is already confirmed by their Bravo questionnaires.

However, a kiss shown in a television trailer does not establish that they entered a committed relationship or continued dating after filming.

Neither Alex nor Jessenia has been independently confirmed as being in a current relationship with the other through the reliable sources reviewed for this biography.

For now, they can accurately be described as friends whose interactions include a romantic moment previewed for Season 13.

Alex Wright Girlfriend and Relationship Status

Alex’s current relationship status remains unconfirmed. Although he shares a close connection with Jessenia Stidger and appears in a romantic moment with her in the Season 13 trailer, there is no reliable confirmation that she is currently his girlfriend.

Likewise, publicly available Bravo information does not establish whether Alex is married or dating someone outside the show.

Parents and Family

Alex has not publicly established detailed information about his parents or siblings in Bravo’s official cast biography. Although his hometown is London, the names and occupations of his parents have not been reliably confirmed.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside yachting, Alex enjoys kitesurfing, golf and traveling. He identified these activities in his official Bravo cast questionnaire.

Kitesurfing combines elements of surfing and wind-powered movement, while golf offers a different recreational activity away from the demanding environment of yacht work.

Alex also enjoys exploring new destinations and developing new hobbies. His interest in travel fits naturally with a career that involves working in different parts of the world.
