The former co-hosts also received stop-work orders on some of their renovations projects before their lawsuits. Donovan sued the production company of Windy City Rehab for defamation. On her part, Victoria sued Donovan against HGTV. According to Victoria, she has spent almost $700,000 of her money on projects that Donovan Eckhardt did not handle well. Eckhardt has had his property development and general contractor licenses suspended. Also, he allegedly missed at least 20 inspections on past projects.
