Ferryn and Brinkley Wright Biography
Ferryn and Brinkley Wright are American country singers, sisters and The Voice Season 30 contestants from Sevierville, Tennessee. The duo earned the season’s first four-chair turn before joining Team Riley and later became the first contestants confirmed to advance from the Season 30 Battles.
The sisters were already professional performers before The Voice. They have performed at Dollywood, previously auditioned separately for American Idol and released their debut single, “Wrong Girl,” in 2026.
Who Are Ferryn and Brinkley Wright?
Ferryn Wright and Brinkley Wright are sisters who perform together as Ferryn & Brinkley.
They grew up in East Tennessee in and around Sevierville, the same area closely associated with country music legend Dolly Parton.
Music became part of their childhood long before they began working professionally. Brinkley recalled that their father built them a small stage when they were children and that they used a karaoke machine to play The Voice at home.
Years later, they found themselves standing on the real Voice stage together.

Ferryn and Brinkley Wright Ages
Ferryn is 20 years old during Season 30. Brinkley was 17 when their Blind Audition was filmed, although later 2026 coverage identifies her as 18.
Where Are Ferryn and Brinkley From?
The sisters are from Sevierville, Tennessee. Growing up in East Tennessee placed them in an area with a strong country and live-performance culture. Their hometown is particularly famous as the birthplace of Dolly Parton.
The sisters eventually turned that geographical connection into a professional one by working as performers at Dollywood.
Parents and Family
Ferryn and Brinkley grew up in a family that encouraged their interest in performing.
Their father played a particularly practical role in their early musical development. The sisters have recalled that he built them a stage when they were young so they could perform at home.
Their sibling relationship later became one of their musical strengths. Years of singing together helped them develop the close harmonies that attracted all four coaches during their Voice audition.
Brinkley Wright’s Early Performing Career
Brinkley was performing publicly years before The Voice. A 2019 biography from Country Tonite identified her as a 10-year-old performer from Knoxville, Tennessee, who had begun performing for her family at around four years old.
She won first place in a singing competition at the Sevier County Fair and subsequently joined the Country Tonite cast as a youth performer.
The same professional biography reported that Brinkley was homeschooled and studied hip-hop and tumbling at Elizabeth Williams School of Dance.
Dollywood Career
Both sisters eventually became professional performers connected with Dollywood Parks & Resorts. Dollywood itself confirmed in 2026 that Ferryn and Brinkley were performers at its resorts and described them as former American Idol Season 23 contestants.
They have performed country music for visitors at the resorts and have participated in events connected to Dolly Parton.
Before The Voice, the sisters were also selected to walk ahead of Dolly’s vehicle during a Dollywood parade, an experience they described publicly as a major opportunity.
Their Dollywood background became an important part of their story when they auditioned for The Voice.
Were Ferryn and Brinkley on American Idol?
Yes. Before competing as a duo on The Voice, Ferryn and Brinkley auditioned for American Idol Season 23 in 2025.
Because American Idol does not compete with duos in the same way, the sisters auditioned individually.
Both reportedly received Golden Tickets and advanced to Hollywood, although their auditions did not become part of the main televised storyline.
Ferryn & Brinkley’s Music
The sisters have also started releasing music as a duo. Their debut single, “Wrong Girl,” arrived in 2026.
They co-wrote the song with Adam Wheeler and former American Idol contestant Janelle Arthur, who also produced the track.
The release allowed Ferryn and Brinkley to begin establishing an identity outside the cover songs they perform professionally and on television.
The Voice Season 30 Blind Audition
Ferryn and Brinkley appeared during the Season 30 premiere of The Voice. They performed “When Will I Be Loved,” a song associated with the Everly Brothers and Linda Ronstadt.
Their arrangement initially allowed the coaches to hear their harmonies before realizing that two singers were performing.
Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah turned first. Adam Levine and Riley Green later joined them, giving the sisters a four-chair turn. It was the first four-chair turn of Season 30.
After hearing all four coaches’ pitches, Ferryn and Brinkley chose Riley Green.
Why Did They Choose Riley Green?
Riley connected with the sisters’ traditional country sound and East Tennessee background.
He told them their performance reminded him of the country music he heard around his own family while growing up.
Ferryn and Brinkley ultimately believed Team Riley was the right place to develop their country sound.
Their decision placed them alongside Joe Henley, Kenna Elpers, Cade Mower, Allie Rae and later Brendan Coulter on Team Riley.
Ferryn & Brinkley Win Their First Battle
Ferryn and Brinkley became the first confirmed Battle winners of The Voice Season 30 during the October 6 episode.
Riley paired the sisters against fellow Team Riley contestant Brandy Neelly.
The three singers performed Miranda Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart” after working with Riley and Battle advisor Carly Pearce.
Riley faced a difficult decision after the performance. He praised Brandy’s performance but noted that Ferryn and Brinkley’s family harmonies and experience singing together gave them something distinctive.
He ultimately selected Ferryn & Brinkley as the winners, advancing them to the next stage of Season 30.
Brandy was eliminated.
The result means the sisters progressed beyond both their four-chair Blind Audition and their first direct head-to-head competition.
Ferryn and Brinkley maintain a joint public music presence online. The duo’s Instagram handle is @ferryandbrinkley.
