Mike Parker is a country singer, songwriter, and footballer best known for contesting in season 20 of American Idol and Season 15 of The Voice. He was eliminated in the Knockout rounds of The Voice season 15. Moreover, he auditioned for season 20 of American Idol which premiered on February 27, 2022.

Parker is also a footballer and he played as a wide receiver and defensive back. He helped Kettle Run High School to the state semifinals as a junior and was heavily recruited by top college programs.

Parker said that prior to his audition, his mother had been hospitalized with a mystery illness. It is after his audition that the family found out she had Leukemia. Parker’s genre challenge performance saw him advance to the next stage of the competition and he hopes that puts a smile on his mom’s face.
