Soon after graduating from college, Belleci first worked at the M5 studios in San Francisco, California with Jamie Hyneman. He ran errands and also acted as a stage manager. The MythBusters host later worked at Industrial Light and Magic for eight years. He worked as a painter, builder, and sculptor.
In 2003, he started working on MythBusters on Discovery Channel, working behind the scenes in the first season. In season 2 he became part of the show’s build team and in the 3rd season, he received on-screen credit. Tory also worked on several projects such as Bicentennial Man, Starship Troopers, Galaxy Quest, Peter Pan, The Matrix trilogy, and Van Helsing. He also has a short film called SandTroopers, which appeared in the Slamdance Film Festival
