Big Brother 28 Week 6 Recap: Yash’s Power Move Sets Up a Dramatic Eviction

Big Brother 28 is heading toward another unpredictable eviction, with Yash Patel controlling the Head of Household and a surprise Diamond Power of Veto move changing the nominations.

The week began with Yash targeting veteran players, but the plan shifted after Rick Devens used his special power to save Dee Valladares. Kamu Kirk was named as the replacement nominee, leaving the house with a new question: will the houseguests vote out a powerful competitor or keep the bigger target in the game?

As of Thursday, August 20, and at the time of writing this article, the eviction has not yet taken place.

Big Brother 28 Week 6 eviction nominees and Power of Veto update
Big Brother 28 Week 6 features Yash Patel as Head of Household, Rick Devens using the Diamond Power of Veto, and three houseguests facing eviction.

Yash Patel Wins Head of Household

Yash won the Week 6 Head of Household competition after a knockout-style challenge that left several major players unable to take control.

His victory gave him the first real opportunity to make a move against the veteran group. Earlier in the season, players connected to the show’s reality television veterans had held much of the power.

Yash quickly made it clear that he did not want to waste his Head of Household reign. He discussed targeting players with strong competition records and close relationships across the house.

His first nominations were Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, and Haley Thogmartin. The move placed three women on the block and created tension across several alliances.

The Original Nominations

Yash’s nominations appeared to place Dee Valladares at the centre of the week. Angela and Haley were also nominated, but many houseguests believed Dee was the most important target.

The three nominees each faced a different challenge:

  • Angela had to prove that she was not simply being used as a pawn.

  • Haley needed to recover after a difficult previous week.

  • Dee had to protect herself while managing relationships with several sides of the house.

At first, the week seemed to be moving toward a standard eviction. That changed when the Diamond Power of Veto entered the conversation.

Yash Wins the Power of Veto

Yash also won the regular Power of Veto, giving him control over whether the nominations would change.

His win made the week more complicated. The Head of Household held the regular veto, while Rick Devens still had access to the Diamond Power of Veto.

Yash had the option to keep the nominations the same or use the veto to create a replacement nominee. However, the hidden power created another layer of uncertainty.

The Diamond Power of Veto gave Devens the ability to change the nominations after the regular veto meeting. That power became the biggest strategic weapon of the week.

Rick Devens Uses the Diamond Power of Veto

Rick Devens used the Diamond Power of Veto to save Dee Valladares.

The move removed Dee from the block and forced a replacement nomination. Kamu Kirk was placed on the block beside Angela Murray and Haley Thogmartin.

Devens’ decision was risky. He protected an ally, but he also placed a strong competitor in danger. Kamu had been building momentum in the house and was closely connected to Yash.

The move also damaged the stability of several alliances. Players who expected Dee to remain the target suddenly had to decide whether to vote out Kamu or keep him.

Who Is on the Block?

The current nominees for the Week 6 eviction are:

  • Angela Murray.

  • Haley Thogmartin.

  • Kamu Kirk.

Dee is no longer nominated after Devens used the Diamond Power of Veto to save her.

The final eviction result may still depend on the season’s Blockbuster or eviction format, but Kamu has become the most discussed target in the house.

Why Kamu Kirk Is in Danger

Kamu entered the week with strong competition credibility and connections to several players. His partnership with Yash had also started to look increasingly important.

That made him dangerous. If Kamu remains in the game, he could continue winning competitions and help Yash control the next few weeks.

Some houseguests believe that the Yash and Kamu relationship could become a serious endgame partnership. Removing Kamu would weaken Yash and prevent the two from controlling future Head of Household and veto competitions.

Kamu has campaigned against the veteran players. He has argued that the house should stop protecting established reality stars and keep a player who can help take them out.

So far, that argument has not convinced everyone.

The Vote Is Still Uncertain

The eviction vote has not happened yet, and the house remains divided over the best move.

Several players are considering whether to vote out Kamu or keep a connection with him for later rounds. The decision is complicated because multiple alliances are operating at the same time.

The house includes groups such as FAP, the Mosh Pit, the Crossovers, and other smaller working relationships. These alliances do not always agree, which means the eviction could come down to a small group of swing voters.

Drew Campbell is one of the players being watched closely. His vote could become important if the major alliances split.

Mallory and Melody have also discussed how openly they should reveal their plans. Telling Yash and Taylor the truth could preserve trust, but it could also expose their intentions before the vote.

The Week’s Biggest Alliance Battle

The central battle this week is between the newer competitors and the established reality television players.

Yash has tried to build power outside the veteran group. His nominations showed that he was willing to target well-known players instead of simply following the existing structure.

Devens’ Diamond Power of Veto move protected Dee but created a new conflict. The decision may keep Devens’ closest allies safe for now, yet it also gives the house a reason to question his long-term loyalty.

The veteran players still have experience and strong social connections, but their position is no longer secure.

Dee Survives Another Dangerous Week

Dee Valladares was one of the week’s biggest winners.

She entered the block as a possible target, but Devens’ use of the Diamond Power of Veto removed her from danger. The move gave her another opportunity to repair relationships and rebuild trust.

Dee’s position remains complicated. She has influence, but she is also viewed as someone willing to make bold moves. Her involvement in previous vote flips has made some houseguests nervous.

Surviving the week could help her move forward, but she may need to avoid becoming the obvious target during the next Head of Household cycle.

Haley and Angela’s Position

Haley Thogmartin and Angela Murray were both nominated before the Diamond Power of Veto changed the block.

Haley has had a difficult stretch in the game. She has experienced conflict with other houseguests and has struggled to regain control after previous decisions affected her closest relationships.

Angela entered the week as a veteran target and received her first nominations of the season. Her experience and reputation make her dangerous, but she has also used her relationships to avoid becoming the main target.

If the house decides that Kamu is too dangerous to keep, both Haley and Angela could survive another week. If the vote shifts, either woman could still find herself in danger.

What Happens Next?

The houseguests must decide whether to vote out Kamu or keep a player who could help them challenge the veteran alliance.

The main questions heading into the eviction are:

  • Will the house vote out Kamu?

  • Can Kamu convince enough players to keep him?

  • Will Yash’s Head of Household reign damage his relationship with the house?

  • Can Devens protect his allies without exposing his strategy?

  • Will Drew become the deciding vote?

  • Can Dee turn her escape from the block into long-term power?

Because the eviction has not happened yet, the final result remains open. The week’s power shifts have already changed the structure of the game, and the vote could determine whether Yash’s side becomes the new centre of power or loses momentum immediately.
