After moving to Los Angeles, Maniscalco worked as a performer in open mics in bars and bowling alleys while working as a waiter at Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California (1998-2005). Later, the comedian went on tour with Vince Vaughn as part of the Wild West Comedy Show:30 Days and 30 Nights-Hollywood to the Heartland where he ended up getting gigs as an opener.
