He was a two-time contestant on FOX’s American Idol, in which he placed top 48 in 2014 and Top 24 in 2015. In 2015, he released EP titled “Breathing Underwater”, in honor of his brother Alfred Wright. The EP peaked at #40 on iTunes’ Top 100 chart.

During the Battle Rounds, NOIVAS was paired with Ray Uriel, and together the pair performed John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy.” Chance the Rapper chose Ray Uriel to move on to the Knockout round. However, Blake Shelton used his only steal to “bring NOIVAS home,” and therefore, advancing to the Knockouts rounds.
