Tasha Jessen Biography

Tasha Jessen (Sitaaish Jessen) is a Pakistani singer and singer who is originally from Faisalabad, Pakistan. She is widely known for competing in season 23 of the NBC singing reality competition show The Voice. Jessen moved to the United States from Thailand. She now lives in Colorado Springs with her husband Maverek, who is a lead guitarist in the couple’s church worship band.

Jessen was born and raised in Faisalabad, Pakistan by her parents. She was born into a Christian and super musical family.  Both her parents were recording artists at their church in Pakistan. Growing up in Pakistan, an Islamic country, Jessen’s mother, a Christian, was afraid of religious persecution. Jessen and her parents finally fled Pakistan to Thailand, and onwards to Ontario, Canada. Later, Jessen moved to the United States where she now lives with her husband Maverek Jessen. Tasha’s family is still based in Ontario, Canada.

Jessen is married to her husband Maverek Jessen, who is a singer and lead guitarist in the couple’s church worship band. Jessen and Maverek tied the knot on December 27, 2017, when she was 16 years old. She met Maverek Jessen through the church after she moved to Canada from Thailand where her family had fled from Pakistan. Jessen’s husband’s age is 23 years old (age as of 2022) having been born on August 6, 1999.

She immigrated to Thailand with her family when she was 12. Jessen then moved to the USA where she met her husband through the church. She now lives in Colorado Springs, CO with her husband.

Jessen sang a rendition of  Leon Bridges’ “River”  during her audition for “The Voice” season 23. She got chair turn from Blake Shelton, Chance the Rapper, and Niall Horan. Ultimately, she chose to join Team Blake.

Moreover, Jessen and EJ Michels from Team Blake performed “The Tracks of My Tears” on the Battle Rounds of “The Voice” Season 23, Monday, March 27, 2023. It was Jessen who won the battle and advanced to the Knockouts Round. Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan went for EJ Michels’ steal, but it was Team Niall Horan that EJ Michel chose.
