Egypt Sherrod is a national TV and radio personality,  author, philanthropist,  real estate broker, and property expert. She is popular for hosting HGTV’s Flipping Virgins, Property Virgins, and Married to Real Estate. She is the CEO of Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group.

Sherrod began hosting on a jazz station at 18 and at 19 years old, she got a job as a radio station music director, becoming the youngest music director in the country. Moreover, she was a correspondent on the Maury show. Sherrod was the number one radio personality for New York City’s WBLS 107.5, where she interviewed Prince, Tyler Perry, and Oprah. The radio personality also worked as a host of WVEE V-103 in Atlanta where she conducted interviews with celebrities.

Moreover, growing up with a father and uncle who were real estate brokers, Sherrod gained an interest in real estate at a very early age. Egypt and her husband DJ Mike Jackson stars in the HGTV reality series Married to Real Estate. The new episodes of the series premiered on January 13, 2022, at 9/8c on HGTV.  The show follows the couple as they help families find homes to upgrade in their dream neighborhoods.

The show also showcases what it takes to successfully balance their marriage and the real estate business.

Moreover, Mike and Egypt were also featured on season 3 of the HGTV’s reality show Rock the Block, alongside couples Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas,  Jenny Marrs and Dave Marrs,  and twins Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb.
