 Brandy Gymani Rhodes is a singer and songwriter originally from Atlanta, Georgia, USA.  She is widely known for competing on the 21st season of NBC’s reality competition show, The Voice.

The singer participated in chorus and band throughout her school. Gymani was accepted at Berklee College of Music after she decided to pursue music but she was not able to join due to financial constraints.

Gymani is one of the contestants of season 21 of NBC’s reality competition show, The Voice. The season whose judges are  Ariana Grande, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake Shelton, premiered on September 20, 2021. The singer performed POV by Ariana Grande during her blind audition and her amazing performance saw all the four judges turn their chairs. All the judges were full of praises for her performance and vocals but she could only choose one to be her coach. The singer ultimately chose #TeamKelly.

The singer was the winner of her battle round against Aaron Hines. They performed Tate McRae and Khalid’s Working. It was unfortunate for Aaron who also had a four-chair turn during his blind audition.

The Voice Knockouts

Gymani won The Voice knockout stage against  Kinsey Rose. She performed Zayn’s Pillow Talk while Kinsey performed Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter. Rose was eliminated because she did not get a steal from any of the other coaches.

Gymani performed a rendition of Say Something by A Great Big World, during the November 8, 2021, live playoffs. She received a standing ovation from all the four judges/coaches.

Now that the live playoffs are here, viewers are expected to vote for their favorite contestant to keep them in the show as they compete for the Top spot.

According to the #TheVoice official Twitter page, there are two ways to vote.

  • NBC.com/voicevote — To vote through the official website, fans must create an NBC account.

Each method allows up to 10 votes.

According to NBC.com/voicevote, the voting window opens Monday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. MT. Voting remains open through Nov. 9 at 5 a.m. MT.

After The Top 13 sang dedication-themed songs, It was up to the public/viewers to save their favorite contestant from elimination. On the night of November 15, 2021, for her dedication song, Gymani performed Made a Way by Travis Greene which she dedicated to her mom.

After the public had voted, she, Shadale, and Ryleigh Plank were in the bottom three with the least votes. The three contestants had to battle it out for an Instant save. Gymani performed Sweet Love by Anita Baker while Ryleigh performed Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande, and Shadale sang a rendition of Faith Hill’s Breath. The wildcard instant save was won by Gymani, making her among The Voice season 21 Top 11 contestants.
